ECONOMIC RESEARCH DEPARTMENT

The Economic Research Department assures the logistics, counseling and information to the Academy's structures for the scientific research activity, especially for the financed one. It coordinates and guides the executive activity of the research centers.


It's offering information regarding the scientific research grants and assistance for the Academy teaching staff and researchers in order to prepare a number of documents regarding the participation in competitions.

It's allowing the access to information regarding the international programs for scientific research.

 

 

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CENTERS

1. ECO-INFOSOC RESEARCH CENTRE - Modeling and informatizing of social and economic processes

MAIN DIRECTIONS:
" The practical and fundamental scientific research in the field of drawing up the methods, models and systems for an information economic society;
" Quantitative and economic analysis;
" Researches in the field of optimization and risk theories applied in economic activities;
" Researches regarding the problems of a new economy;
" Researches regarding regional development;
" Multifactorial statistics;


2. CENTRE OF RESEARCHES AND ALIMENTARY PRODUCTS EXAMINATION

MAIN DIRECTIONS:
" Complex researches regarding the assurance of food quality at an international standard level;
" Studies regarding the operational models which are meant to insure the quality of exported/imported goods, in competitive conditions;
" Studies regarding the anomalies prevention for the lots of goods, in the logistic chain of distribution;
" Consultancy in the fields of: modern and competitive goods wrapping; informational message of the good label; nutritional labeling of aliments; standards and regulating information regarding international trade with goods; standardization at the enterprise level; bar codes technology;
" Researches regarding the assurance of products and services quality related with the consumers protection;
" Systems and new methods which are verifying the quality of goods;
" Evaluations and judicial and extra-judicial examinations for alimentary goods;
" Researches regarding the structure of goods type, on product groups.


3. EXELLENCY ROMANIAN NATIONAL CENTRE FOR COMPARATIVE MANAGEMENT

MAIN DIRECTIONS: National Center of Excellence for Compared Management Studies, created with the assistance of World Bank, is a research center specialized in international compared management. The main research fields are as follows:
" European Union management;
" United States management;
" Japan management;
" Central and East European management;
" International management comparisons;
" Exchanging knowledge and international know-how with Romania.


4. CENTRE OF RESEARCH FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT - PM FORUM
MAIN DIRECTIONS:

" Fundamental and applicative scientific research in the field of project management, having the goal of developing the research in various fields, especially in management and economic informatics.
" Researches regarding projects planning and control;
" Projects quality management;
" Automation systems for project management.


5. CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR ANALYSIS AND ECONOMIC POLICIES

MAIN DIRECTIONS:
" Monetary and fiscal macroeconomic politics;
" Growth and lasting economic development politics;
" Sector politics, having influences in the recruiting processes of the remaking industry, in the energy sector, in agriculture, in services, in technology sector;
" Commercial and external politics, and the impact of globalization over national economy;
" Structural politics regarding work market, public utilities, privatization and financial system;
" Financial and contractual discipline, the response of business sector to structural and macroeconomic politics;
" Fiscal transparency, tax system, priorities in budgetary expenses;
" A cost-profit analysis of the projects;
" The investment in human capital, the efficiency of educational system, economic education especially;
" Social protection politics, social insurance and social assistance systems;
" Environment protection politics;
" Economic politics regarding the integration in European Community;
" International competitiveness off internal products;
" The role of institutions and the economic policy of systemic transformations.


6. RESEARCH REGARDING CENTRE OF STUDIES OF ACCOUNTING AND MANAGERIAL INFORMATICS

7. CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR REGIONAL ANALYSIS AND POLITICS
MAIN DIRECTIONS:

" Growth and lasting economic development politics;
" Sector politics, having influences in the recruiting processes of the industry, in agriculture, in services, in technology sector;
" Investment analysis and politics regarding the development of human capital, the efficiency of educational system, economic education especially;
" Regional analysis and politics and rural development politics;
" Ecological analysis and environment protection politics;
" Economic politics regarding the European integration;
" Institutional analysis and politics developed in the spirit of regional development and over border cooperation.


8. FINANCIAL AND MONETARY RESEARCH CENTRE - FMRC (CEFIMO)

MAIN DIRECTIONS:
" Public finance;
" Co-operative finance;
" Monetary system;
" Financial markets;
" Assurance and re-assurance;
" International finance;
" Organization and financial management;
" Financial law.

 

REGULATION

CHAPTER 1. ORGANIZATION AND CONTENTS

Article 1. Scientific research activity is the main component of learning and innovation processes which are developed in the Academy of Economic Studies.

Article 2.
(1) The department is the main unit of the scientific research activity in the Academy of Economic Studies.
(2) If the projects and themes portfolio impose scientific research, it may be realized by other units or distinct departments, which are especially created.
(3) Scientific research activity may be developed in partnerships with other education and research institutes, foreign or national.
(4) Scientific research activity is organized and it's carrying on it's activity by themes and projects, financed or not, which are summarized in departments, faculty's and research center's programs.
(5) Scientific research activity may be realized individually, if the department has taken in his program the independent scientific research.


Article 3. Financed scientific research activity is carrying on its activity sustained by programs, sub-programs, research themes and activities, seized with:

a) National scientific research programs
b) Scientific and consultancy research themes in partnership with governmental and non-governmental organization, etc.
c) Institutional programs followed by the Senate Chamber of the Academy of Economic Studies and auto-financed.
d) Institutional programs followed by the Economic Research Department.
e) Department programs followed by faculties, which are containing also financial individual researches.

Article 4. The recognized results of the scientific research activity are materialized in:
a) Research reports which are held in Academy's library, including the scientific section and the archive of the economic research department.
b) Systems, models, modernization and increasing the economic efficiency solutions, with all the required documents are held by the Academy's library, including the scientific section and the archive of the economic research department.
c) Books, treatise and monographs with scientific content are published and then offered to the Academy's library, including the scientific section and the archive.
d) National and international scientific researches.
e) Published articles of the scientific manifestations.

Article 5. At the faculties, departments and Academy's level there may be organized scientific seminars, sessions, conferences and other scientific manifestations, in order to communicate the results and the experience gained by the research activity.

Article 6. The Academy of Economic Studies is sustaining the apparition of different revues, in order to disseminate the scientific research results.
Article 7. (1) The student's scientific research activity is taking different forms, as follows:
" Independent scientific research, guided by professors, the final result being different projects, graduation diploma, specific studies;
" The partial transformation of some didactic seminars in scientific seminars;
" Training and participation of students in realizing programs/projects guided by departments and scientific research centers;
" The different departments are organizing student's debating circles;

(2) Scientific activity's results may be taken into consideration in the professional evaluation system of students and may be published in revues.

(3) Each year in the Academy of Economic Studies are organized special scientific sessions with students and professional contests. Department's chiefs, the deputy dean and the pro-rector are responsible for the scientific activity.

(4) The Academy of Economic Studies in collaboration with similar institutions may organize or may participate in local or nation stages of student's manifestations and professional competitions.

Article 8. (1) Scientific research activity in Academy of Economic Studies is presided by Scientific Council, which is subordinate to the Academy's Senate.

(2) The Scientific Council is organizing half-year meetings, and it's being lead by the competence pro-rector and by the Economic Research Department.

Article 9. The Economic Research Department has the following competences:

a) It's assuring the logistics, counseling and information to the Academy's structures for the scientific research activity, especially for the financed one;
b) It's offering information regarding the scientific research grants offered by the National Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, the National Council for Scientific Research, and economic agents. It's also allowing the access to information regarding the international programs for scientific research.
c) It's offering assistance for the Academy teaching staff and researchers in order to prepare a number of documents regarding the participation in competitions and the acquiring of grants.
d) It's identifying and collecting extra-budget funds for scientific research.
e) It's watching over the scientific research contracts internal and external, and also the projects financed by the World Bank and the Romanian Government.
f) It coordinates and guides the executive activity of the research centers.
g) It organizes and takes measures in order to accomplish the proposed objectives.

Article 10. In order to acknowledge the scientific research activity, the Academy of Economic Studies has the following diplomas:

a) OPERA OMNIA
It's conferred to scientific personalities from the Academy of Economic Studies who have created new domains and schools of research, who have had a special contribution in developing the economic sciences and who have obtained, at least once, the GEORGESCU RÖEGEN diploma. This diploma is conferred once in professional life.

b) GEORGESCU RÖEGEN
This diploma is conferred to teachers' staff or to researchers who in the precedent year have developed scientific research activities for the financed projects.
The diploma is granted each year.

c) DIPLOMA CUM LAUDE
The diploma is conferred to the young people who in the precedent year have developed scientific research activities for the projects financed by the national and international organisms.
The maximum age limit: 35 years.
The diploma is conferred each year.
